Many are ideal for hosting larger gatherings, and a few are going out of their way to create incredible event spaces. We introduce you to three .

Valentine Distilling, Ferndale

If you’re looking for something with a funkier vibe, Belle’s Lounge, at Valentine Distilling in Ferndale, is the place for you.

“I describe the décor as eclectic; it’s industrial with a touch of luxury. It features warm lighting, velvet lounge booths, old fermentation tanks that have been turned into mini booths and a 1937 Ford truck that is an ideal backdrop for photos,” said Heather DeLiso, Belle’s Lounge manager.

“We can seat up to 92 guests and have had as many as 120 in a strolling format. We can accommodate up to 170 guests if we use the entire distillery and the outdoor space,” DeLiso added.

Copper Hop Brewing, St. Clair Shores

A popular Eastside destination for those looking for craft beer, Copper Hop Brewing Company has also become a popular choice for those looking to have their special event at a place that offers an inviting and fun ambiance.

“Our event space offers a unique and intimate experience for any special occasion. A rustic interior and intimate atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a cozy and memorable event. Our craft beer selections are extensive and the staff is happy to help you choose the best beer, wine or cider for your event,” said Ryan Balicki, Copper Hop Brewing Company co-founder.

We can accommodate up to 84 guests inside and another 12-15 on our outdoor patio,” he added.

floors that look like glass, 40 pendant lights that hang from the ceiling, three independent salon stations and a gorgeous bar,” said Jessica Youngblood.

The venue can seat up to 199 inside and up to 300 with outdoor seating during nice weather.

“Our covered, 4,000-square-foot patio is decorated with really beautiful Edison-style lights that are dimma- ble and really cool cowboy cauldrons. It overlooks the vineyard and is a very popular place for guests to gather,” Youngblood added.

Many other local craft brewing establishments in our area, including Urbanrest and Blake’s Orchard, also offer event space. Next time you stop by your favorite crafter, be sure to ask if they can accommodate your

next special event.
